To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

Insured loss estimate for windstorm raised to $2.2 billion

Swiss catastrophe data provider Perils AG has increased its insured and reinsured loss estimates for the European extratropical windstorm Ciaran, which hit France, the U.K., as well as other parts of Europe at the start of November 2023, by 5.5% to €2.04 billion ($2.2 billion), Artemis reported. The industry loss estimate is solely based on the property line of business. The majority of the insurance industry loss came from damage to properties in France, at €1.74 billion, followed by the U.K., Belgium, and the Netherlands.
