Axa XL names client, distribution officer for Americas

Axa XL, the property/casualty unit of France’s Axa SA, Friday said Matthew V. O’Malley has been named to the newly created role of chief client and distribution officer for the Americas.
Mr. O’Malley will lead Axa XL’s U.S. zonal teams, Canada and Bermuda country distribution, client engagement, broker engagement, and marketing activities in the Americas, Axa XL said in a statement.
Based in Philadelphia, he reports to Lucy Pilko, the region’s CEO, and Manuel Meier, Axa XL’s chief client officer.
Mr. O’Malley was most recently Axa XL’s U.S. country manager.
