Aetna Inc. is set to win a multibillion-dollar Texas Medicaid contract after it was mistakenly sent sensitive information from 17 rival health plans during the bidding process, the Texas Tribune reports. The Texas Health and Human Services agency confirmed the error, which has cast doubt on the legitimacy of the procurement process. Eight insurance plans have filed protests in response to the state's intent to award the new six-year contracts to Aetna and other winners.
