The Houston City Council has voted to maintain current employee health costs for the next year, absorbing a 7.91% expense increase, which equates to approximately $54,000, the Houston Herald reports. The decision came despite suggestions to raise the deductible from $1,000 to $1,500 to offset higher costs.
