The U.S. Health and Human Services Department Office of Inspector General will investigate the impact of vertically integrated Medicare Part D plans and pharmacy benefit managers on drug prices, Becker’s Payer reports. This follows concerns raised by U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) and Mike Braun (R-Indiana) about the potential for inflated drug prices due to the integrated model.
