President Joe Biden has announced new rules to limit short-term health insurance plans, often criticized as "junk insurance", to three months, with renewals capped at four months, the Associated Press reports. This is a significant reduction from the three-year limit under the Trump administration. The Biden administration will also require these plans to clearly explain the limits of their benefits to consumers.
