BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Doctors oppose Elevance's acquisition of BCBS Louisiana

The Louisiana State Medical Society, representing more than 4,000 physicians, has voted against Elevance Health Inc.'s proposed acquisition of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, citing concerns over potential increases in premium costs and reductions in benefits, reports Becker’s Payer Issues. The deal, which requires approval from two-thirds of BCBS policyholders and the Louisiana insurance commissioner, was announced in January 2023 and has been delayed due to state officials' concerns.
