UK firms insured $131 billion worth of Russian oil despite restrictions

The Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air said that the U.K. firms have insured €120 billion ($131 billion) worth of Russian oil from March 2022 until November 2023 despite sanctions, City A.M. reported. In the 12 months since the price cap was introduced in December 2022, tankers have transported €46.4 billion of Russian oil using U.K. protection and indemnity insurance.
