BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Ewing rejoins Cotton in ERM role

Lance Ewing has rejoined Cotton Holding Inc. as vice president of enterprise risk management.

Mr. Ewing, a former president of the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc., previously worked at Cotton, a Houston-based infrastructure support and disaster recovery company, from 2016 to 2020.

Most recently, he was vice president of risk management and operations for the San Manuel Tribe of Mission Indians in Highland, California, a role he took after his first period at Cotton.

At Cotton he will develop and oversee operation risk management activities and lead its enterprise risk management team and committee.

Prior to joining Cotton, he held various positions in the events, gaming and hospitality insurance and risk management sector, including risk manager for Harrah’s Entertainment Inc., where he was working when he was named Risk Manager of the Year in 2007.

Mr. Ewing was president of RIMS in 2003-04. He received the Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award, the society’s highest honor, in 2022.
