BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

pet insurance fraud

Police are chasing after a Paulding County, Georgia, woman who they say submitted nearly 50 fake claims under her pet’s health insurance policy, WSB-TV in Atlanta reported.

Amanda Lindley, who is charged 48 counts each of insurance fraud and forgery, allegedly submitted phony pet insurance claims between January 2019 and December 2022, altering the dates and costs of the procedures on her invoices. Some included visits that never happened, police told news reporters.

In total, she received about $45,000 for these claims, according to authorities, who reported that Ms. Lindley also used the fraudulent invoices on a web-based donation site to receive additional payments from sympathetic citizens.
