McGriff announces reorganization of US retail operations

McGriff Insurance Services LLC, the retail commercial insurance subsidiary of Truist Insurance Holdings Inc., Thursday said it would reorganize U.S. operations across three geographic regions and made several executive announcements.

Effective immediately, McGriff organization will be restructured into the South Region, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, New York and Tennessee, which will continue to be led by Regional President Robert Drew.

John Haase has been promoted to regional president of the East Region, which now includes Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

McGriff’s Southwest and West regions have been combined into a single West Region, including Arkansas, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon, Texas, and Washington, under the leadership of Regional President Patrick Dessauer, McGriff said in a statement.

In addition to the regional realignment, McGriff said that Jeremy McCaslin was named McGriff’s chief innovation officer, leading business technology needs related to operations, process development, account management and production.

Carolyn Littlefield has been named chief operating officer, responsible for managing McGriff’s day-to-day operations, including setting and monitoring performance goals, managing budgets, and ensuring that efficiency targets are met.

Doug Hodo has been named president of specialty and middle market, where he will focus on initiatives including specialty vertical development, employee benefits, insurer relations and marketing, national sales initiatives, and program and product development.

Mr. McCaslin, Ms. Littlefield, Mr. Hodo, and the three regional presidents will continue reporting directly to Read Davis, CEO for McGriff specialty and middle market, the statement said.

McGriff also said that Rachael Yelverton has been named director of strategic projects for McGriff, responsible for building strategy and execution of projects going forward, reporting to Ms. Littlefield.

Truist Insurance Holdings Inc., the fifth-largest broker of U.S. business according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings, also recently restructured its wholesale operations and sold a stake in its business in February.
