Gallagher buys Arizona-based construction specialist

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Thursday it has acquired The Coverage Pro LLC, based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Coverage Pro has about 25 employees, according to an email from a Gallagher spokesman. The broker specializes in construction for commercial and personal lines clients in Arizona, the statement said.
Gallagher will also acquire The Coverage Pro's affiliated company General Southwest Insurance Agency, based in Phoenix.
Jeff LaScala, president of The Coverage Pro and General Southwest; Caily LaScala, chief operating officer; and their staff will remain in their current location under the direction of Scott Firestone, head of Gallagher's Southwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations, the statement said.
