BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. said Friday it has agreed to acquire Asprose Corredora de Seguros S.A., a brokerage based in Costa Rica.

Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close later this quarter, were not disclosed.

Founded in 1984, San José-based Asprose provides insurance brokerage and risk advisory services, in addition to employee health and benefits, to businesses across Costa Rica.

Roberto Ortiz Volio, senior partner at Asprose, will become CEO of Marsh McLennan Costa Rica on completion of the deal, reporting to Juan Pablo Salazar, CEO of Marsh McLennan for the Caribbean.

Marvin Umaña, senior partner, will serve as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, and Luis Castro, senior partner, will serve as employee benefits leader. Mr. Umaña and Mr. Castro will report to Mr. Ortiz.

Asprose has about 87 “administrative officials,” according to a document in Spanish on its website. All employees are joining Marsh McLennan, according to a statement.
