Leadership changes and executive appointments continue to draw significant interest among Business Insurance readers, ranking prominently in the most-read stories over the years.
Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc.’s announcement that it had promoted two executives to newly created senior leadership roles is an example.
In June, the world’s largest brokerage said Pat Hagemann had been appointed chief of staff of the Office of the COO, while John Jones was named chief marketing and communications officer of the company.
Ms. Hagemann was previously chief administration officer of Marsh LLC, Marsh McLennan’s main brokerage arm, while Mr. Jones was formerly chief marketing officer of Marsh.
The story on the senior leadership promotions at Marsh McLennan was the fourth most read risk management story on Business Insurance’s website in 2022.
Ms. Hagemann and Mr. Jones report to John Doyle, group president and chief operating officer of Marsh McLennan, who is slated to take the helm of the company as president and CEO effective Jan. 1. He will succeed Daniel S. Glaser, who is retiring at year’s end.
Mr. Doyle had been named to his current titles in January of this year, after serving as president and CEO of Marsh, starting in 2017.
