Brown & Brown wholesale unit recruits former Zurich exec as COO

Brown & Brown Inc. on Monday named former Zurich North America executive Anurag Batta to the newly created position of chief operating officer of Bridge Specialty Wholesale Inc., its recently revamped wholesale unit.
Mr. Batta most recently was chief operating officer of Zurich North America. Since March, he has been an advisory board member of B2Z Insurance Inc., according to his LinkedIn profile.
Brown & Brown formed Bridge Specialty in March to house its 25 wholesale units.
