Alliant snags Aon exec for M&A leadership

Dan Schoenberg, formerly a senior transaction liability and tax insurance executive at Aon PLC, has joined Alliant Insurance Services Inc. as co-leader of its mergers and acquisitions practice, the broker said Tuesday.
Based in New York, Mr. Schoenberg will provide customized financial and transactional risk insurance coverage, including tax, representations and warranties and litigation insurance, as well as contingent risk cover, the broker said in a statement Tuesday.
Mr. Schoenberg has represented clients in many of the biggest mergers and acquisitions transactions in recent years and in 2019 placed over $40 billion of transaction liability and tax insurance, the statement said.
Previously Mr. Schoenberg was senior managing director for the transactions solutions group at Aon PLC, according to his LinkedIn profile.
