BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AIG makes more executive shifts

American International Group Inc. on Thursday said it has named Naohiro Mouri as executive vice president and chief auditor, and Donna DeMaio as global chief operating officer for general insurance.

Both appointments are effective March 15, subject to regulatory approval, the insurer said Thursday in a statement.

Mr. Mouri was previously senior managing director of Asia-Pacific internal audit, and Ms. DeMaio had been chief auditor, according to the statement.

Mr. Mouri will be based in New York and report directly to the audit committee of the AIG board, as well as to Brian Duperreault, AIG’s president and CEO, as a member of AIG’s executive leadership team.

Ms. DeMaio, who will be a member of the general insurance executive leadership team, will be based in New York and report to Peter Zaffino, CEO of general insurance. She will be responsible for improving operational processes, driving technology strategy and leading project management across the global general insurance business and will lead the business’s shared services, procurement and real estate functions, according to the statement.

The moves continue Mr. Duperreault’s ongoing reorganization of AIG’s executive ranks.
