United Wisconsin Insurance Co., which does business as United Heartland, said Monday that it will begin offering workers compensation insurance in South Dakota.
United Heartland is a New Berlin, Wisconsin-based workers comp insurer that currently provides coverage in 18 states.
“Our goal is to work with South Dakota agency partners who share United Heartland’s focus on our six key business segments: education, health care, long term-case, manufacturing, nonprofits/social services and wholesale/retail,” said Tracy Bain, United Heartland’s Milwaukee-based regional director.
