Zurich North America, a unit of Zurich Insurance Group Ltd., on Wednesday announced it will relocate its Chicago office from 10 S. Riverside Plaza to 300 S. Riverside Plaza in downtown Chicago.
Schaumburg, Ill.-based Zurich North America plans to move its current downtown Chicago-based employees to the new office space, which will be located on the 20th and 21st floors of 300 S. Riverside, the insurer said in a statement.
The new space will accommodate the 150 new employees whom Zurich last year said it would add to its Chicago office by 2015, raising the total number of Chicago employees to 500, the insurer said in the statement.
The move is expected to take place in 2014, according to the statement.
“Having a strong presence in the city of Chicago, as well as our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Ill., underscores our continued commitment to growth and partnership in Chicagoland,” said Mike Foley, CEO of Zurich North America Commercial.
