Some North Platte, Nebraska, city council members expressed concern that the insurer with the lowest bid to provide accident and health insurance for city employees is an international company, reports KNOP News. Tokio Marine HCC, based in Houston, is part of Japan’s Mitsubishi Group conglomerate. Its insurance package pledges to save the city around $110,000 in coverage costs for this renewal period.
