White Mountains posts $373 million loss in third quarter

Bermuda-based insurer White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd reported a loss of $373 million in the third quarter of the year as compared to $237 million income in the year-ago comparable period, Reinsurance News reported. White Mountains’ property and casualty reinsurance and insurance arm Ark Insurance Holdings Ltd. recorded 79% year-on-year growth in gross written premium to $162 million.
