BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Victoria floods cost near $108 million

The Insurance Council of Australia said that insurers had received more than 15,700 claims for the storm and floods that affected the Australian state of Victoria on June 9 with an estimated $144 million Australian ($107.7 million) in insured damages so far, Reinsurance News reported. Claims are expected to increase further as the ICA has declared the flooding and storm as a catastrophe event.
