BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Over $1.2 billion paid in insured claims for Fukushima quake

Data from the General Insurance Association of Japan showed that more than 138.28 billion Japanese yen ($1.26 billion) had been paid in insured and reinsured losses as of April 16 for claims arising from the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck the Fukushima region on Feb. 13, Artemis reported. Initially the losses were estimated to be in hundreds of millions and sit with insurers but the losses have ballooned and have called for reinsurance support.
