North P&I Club sees 17% rise in premium income despite pandemic

U.K.-based marine insurer North of England P&I Association Ltd.’s premium income increased 17% year-on-year to £287 million ($406 million) in the year ended Feb. 20, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, North East Times Magazine reported. The marine insurer’s owned and chartered tonnage, a measure for insured ocean-going vessels, grew to 248 million gross tons.
