BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Markel receives license to write reinsurance business in India

India's insurance regulator has granted a license to U.K.-based insurer Markel International Ltd. to write reinsurance business, Asia Insurance Review reported. The insurer's Lloyd's of London Syndicate 3000 will provide reinsurance capacity and the business will be written through the Lloyd's India platform. Markel plans to offer treaty and facultative reinsurance for marine, energy, contingency and professional and financial risk segments in the country.
