Markel receives license to write reinsurance business in India
Posted On: Jun. 13, 2018 6:12 AM CSTIndia's insurance regulator has granted a license to U.K.-based insurer Markel International Ltd. to write reinsurance business, Asia Insurance Review reported. The insurer's Lloyd's of London Syndicate 3000 will provide reinsurance capacity and the business will be written through the Lloyd's India platform. Markel plans to offer treaty and facultative reinsurance for marine, energy, contingency and professional and financial risk segments in the country.
