BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Beazley plans to increase use of ILS capital

Andrew Horton, chief executive of U.K.-based Beazley P.L.C., said that the insurer is looking to increase the use of insurance-linked securities capital with a sidecar-style syndicate backed by third-party capital, Artemis.bm reports. Mr. Horton said that Beazley is also assessing how a U.K.-domiciled ILS transaction could sit against its other sources of reinsurance and capital since the country's new ILS regulations came into effect in November 2017.
