China regulator orders insurers to self-audit solvency reports

The China Insurance Regulatory Commission has ordered local insurers to carry out a self-audit of their solvency reports, Asia Insurance Review reported citing Shanghai Securities News.
The self-audit is required to cover two sets of quarterly solvency reports, for October-to-December 2016 and January-to-March in this year, with the work to be completed by June 30. The self-audit will cover the insurer's assets, technical reserves, capital, risk assessment and information disclosure. Read more
