The European Commission has said that cyber attacks on its server increased 20% year over year to 110 attempts in 2016, newstalk.com reports. "It’s clear that many institutions across Europe and more widely, and that includes the European Commission, are subject to a continuously increasing number of cyber attacks from different sources," said Julian King, European Union security commissioner. "These threats are persistent, they are aggressive, and more and more dangerous and potentially destructive," Mr. King added.
