BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Cayman Islands and Bermudian reinsurers post profits

Cayman Islands-based Greenlight Reinsurance Ltd. and Bermuda-based Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. have reported profits for the third quarter, both rebounding from a loss the previous year, Artemis.bm reports. Third Point Re's net income totaled $72 million, compared with a loss of $195.7 million in the third quarter of 2015. Its gross premiums written declined 30.7%, to $142.6 million. Greenlight Re posted net income of $30 million, compared with a net loss of $219.7 million in the year-ago quarter.
