To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Cambodia launches first program to cover farmers against rice crop loss

Cambodia has recently launched its first pilot program to insure farmers against loss of rice crops in five provinces, reported Khmer Times.

The five provinces are Kampong Chnang, Kampot, Takeo, Kampong Speu and Prey Veng.

The Cambodian Center for Study and Development in Agriculture started the initiative by forming the Cambodian Agriculture Cooperative Insurance Co.

The program aims to insure farmers against droughts and floods caused by climate change.

Weather experts have said that the country would see longer dry seasons and shorter rainy seasons due to climate change.
