Insurers' financial health worsens in South Korea: Report

South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service said that financial health of the country's insurers worsened in the fourth quarter of 2014, The Korea Herald reports.

This was attributed to stringent rules for loss reserves amid the low interest rate trend.

The risk-based capital ratio of the country's 56 life and nonlife insurers averaged 292.3% for the period, falling 13.5 percentage points quarter on quarter.
