Mercedes, Renault recall vans over brake-related defects

Renault S.A. has recalled several vehicles over brake-related defects, covering about 402,000 Clio subcompact cars and 64,000 Kangoo vans built in a French plant, reported Reuters.

It started the recalls in August. No accidents or personal injuries have been reported so far, said a Renault spokesman. Daimler A.G.'s Mercedes-Benz Citan delivery vans that were built at the plant are also being recalled to check for potential problems. A spokeswoman for Mercedes-Benz said the company is recalling 6,597 vehicles in Germany alone.
