BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insurance agents everywhere can rest assured. Not many consumers want to turn to a computer when it comes to securing insurance coverage, according to a new survey.

Digital insurance network Agentero surveyed 1,000 consumers ages 18 to 75 in October 2021 and found that 77% of consumers who have worked with an insurance agent would do so again and 65% of consumers regardless of ever having worked with an agent in the past would seek one in the future.

According to the results, released in January, Gen Z is the least likely to have worked with an insurance agent, at only 43%. This is in sharp contrast to Baby Boomers, 84% of whom have used an agent.

Once younger generations work with an agent, they are most likely to do so again: 84% of Millennials and 69% of Gen Z would use an agent again. Yet the youngest consumers, Gen Z, are more suspicious that agents have their best interests at heart. Overall, only 50% of Gen Zs said they always or usually trust their insurance agent. However, trust dramatically increases with Millennials: 74% said they always or usually trust their agent.
