McGriff recruits former Marsh energy broker

McGriff has hired Tony Nicholas, who previously was a managing director at Marsh LLC, as a senior vice president in its Houston-based energy and marine division.
Mr. Nicholas’ specialties include placing coverage for energy companies, marine terminal operators, oil field services companies, utility contractors, engineering companies and energy-related private equity firms, according to a statement from McGriff, which is a unit of Truist Insurance Holdings Inc.
He joined Marsh through its 2018 purchase of Wortham Insurance & Risk Management.
