MS Amlin CEO Beazley steps down

MS Amlin AG’s CEO has stepped down as CEO of the global reinsurer while the chief financial officer of an Amlin unit is leaving the company.
Amlin on Wednesday said Christopher Beazley has left as of Monday to pursue outside opportunities after leading the company for the past three years.
The statement said he joined MS Amlin in 2007 and has held several leadership roles across the MS Amlin group of companies over the last decade.
Board Chairman Martin Albers will serve as interim CEO, the statement said.
Separately, European primary insurer unit MS Amlin Insurance SE has named Frederic Fischer as chief financial officer, effective Wednesday, subject to regulatory approval.
The statement said Mr. Fischer joins Amlin from Axa SA, where he served 25 years, and was most recently chief financial officer at Axa Corporate Solutions.
He succeeds Reijer Groenveld, who will be leaving the unit to pursue other opportunities, although he will remain with the business until October, the statement said.
