RSG Underwriting Managers consolidates units

RSG Underwriting Managers LLC, the managing underwriting division of Ryan Specialty Group LLC, said Monday it is consolidating two of its managing underwriting businesses, Trident Marine Managers and Global Special Risks, to create a new practice, Marine and Traditional Energy.
Both Trident and Global Special Risks, which are based in Houston, will keep their name brands under Marine and Traditional Energy, which will be headed by Jorge Pecci, according to the statement.
Nick Cortezi was named chairman and CEO of RSG Underwriting Managers in September, succeeding Mike Rice, who plans to retire at year end.
