BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The 2020 Insurance Leadership Forum, which was slated to be held Oct. 2-6 at The Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, will move to a virtual format due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic, the Washington-based Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers announced Tuesday.

The event, which attracts top executives from U.S. and international brokerage firms, insurers and reinsurers, is a key annual market meeting. Insurance industry leaders hold numerous formal and informal meetings to discuss market conditions and business relationships heading into renewals and the next calendar year.

In a statement, The Council said more information on the virtual program for the 107th annual ILF meeting will be available “in the coming weeks.”

Numerous other industry meetings scheduled for 2020 have already been canceled or moved to a virtual format, including the American Property Casualty Insurance Association annual meeting in October, the Rendez-Vous de Septembre reinsurance market meeting in September, the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc.’s annual conference that was due to take place in May, and the Captive Insurance Companies Association annual conference that was slated for March.
