BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Massachusetts insurance head stepping down

Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner Daniel R. Judson is stepping down from his position, effective Feb. 24, state officials said.

Mr. Judson was appointed commissioner of the insurance division in April 2015, according to the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.

“Commissioner Judson has been a valued member of our office over the last two years,” John Chapman, undersecretary of the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, said in a statement. “We thank him for his service to the commonwealth and wish him well in the future.”

Mr. Judson will leave to take on the role of president of the Workers’ Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau of Massachusetts, based in Boston.

First Deputy Insurance Commissioner Gary Anderson will oversee the division during the search for a new commissioner.
