JLT Specialty names transaction advisory practice leader

JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc., a unit of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C., has named John McNally to the newly created position of leader and senior vice president of its transaction advisory practice.
Based in New York, Mr. McNally will support JLT Specialty Insurance Services' private equity and corporate clients in using insurance to facilitate the closing of merger and acquisition transactions, the firm said in a statement Monday.
Previously, Mr. McNally was team leader of transaction liability with Beazley Furlonge Ltd., a unit of Beazley P.L.C., and prior to that, he served with American International Group Inc. for more than 15 years in various positions, including claim manager, vice president and team leader of the mergers and acquisitions insurance group in London, according to the statement.
“John brings an impressive 20-year career of successfully developing and implementing truly specialized offerings to assist clients during some of their most critical moments,” Mike Rice, JLT Specialty Insurance Services CEO, said in the statement.
