BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Driver can't hide this crash from insurer

When insurance companies encourage their policyholders to be proactive about paying their premiums and reporting claims, this case almost certainly isn’t what they have in mind.

A 76-year-old woman on Monday crashed her car into the front window of Acceptance Auto Insurance Co. in Holly Hill, Florida, apparently on her way to make a payment on her auto insurance bill, according to a report by TV station WESH Orlando.

Police told WESH that the woman was not hurt in the accident, nor was anyone inside Acceptance Auto’s offices.

According to WESH’s report, police believe the woman accidently hit the gas pedal as she was trying to park her car after driving to Acceptance Auto’s offices to make a payment on her insurance policy.

If there is a silver lining to the incident, it could be that Acceptance Auto’s claims adjusters likely did not have to travel far to document the scene of the accident.
