Eqecat Inc. has announced additional catastrophe risk consulting services for reinsurance, financial and corporate markets, the catastrophe modeling firm announced Monday in a statement.
Eqecat’s consulting services group is now offering U.S. flood portfolio risk analysis as well as mortgage impairment portfolio risk analysis, which provides residential mortgage lenders and investors in mortgaged assets information on the likelihood of default based on the occurrence of natural catastrophe losses.
With the new services, the company hopes to broaden its audience, while enhancing its relationship with current clients, said Kent David, vice president of consulting services.
Other new tools include model blending, or combining different views of risk for the same exposure or combining different modeled views of risk from independent perils. Also, new integration services can incorporate Eqecat’s Risk Quantification & Engineering program with a client’s business environment. Finally, turnkey solutions allows licensees to use Eqecat’s models and platforms immediately after installation or upgrade.
