Lockton to create new insurance brokerage, open offices in Australia

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Lockton Cos. L.L.C. will open two new offices in Australia and create a new insurance brokerage, Lockton Australia Pty. Ltd., the Kansas City, Mo.-based broker announced Tuesday.

The new unit will have offices in Perth and Sydney, which officially will open May 18.

Adam Rhodes has been named Lockton Australia CEO and will report to Gerry Callaghan, executive chairman of Lockton’s Asian operations.

“Adding Lockton operations in Australia is another important step in expanding our expert local teams to serve clients around the world,” said John Lumelleau, president and CEO of Lockton, in a statement announcing the move.
