The top three Japanese non-life insurers have reported record consolidated net profits for the fiscal year ended March 31, Asia Insurance Review reported citing Jiji Press. Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc.’s net income grew by nearly 86% year-on-year to 696 billion Japanese yen ($4.4 billion), while Sompo Holdings, Inc. saw its net income increase to JPY416 billion from JPY26 billion reported in the year ago comparative period. MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc.’s net income jumped 75% year-on-year to JPY369 billion.
