Private equity firm Warburg Pincus LLC and Singaporean state-owned company Temasek Holdings Ltd. have agreed to acquire U.K.-based insurance intermediary Specialist Risk Group Ltd., in a deal that valued at £1 billion ($1.3 billion), including debt, Verdict reported citing Bloomberg. The transaction is likely to facilitate the insurance broker’s expansion into new international markets, mainly in Europe and Asia.
