Specialty wholesale brokerage rebrands

Specialty wholesale insurance brokerage Capitola Insurance Services LLC said Wednesday it is rebranding as Flow Specialty and has hired former Embroker Insurance Services LLC executive Dave Derigiotis as president of brokerage and head of insurance.
Flow was founded in 2021 in Mountain View, California, and is backed by Munich Re Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners, part of Lightspeeed Management Co. LLC, Flow said in a statement.
Mr. Derigiotis was most recently chief insurance officer for Embroker. Prior to that, he was corporate senior vice president and national professional liability practice group leader for wholesale broker and managing general agent Burns & Wilcox.
Mr. Derigiotis was a 2017 Business Insurance Break Out Award winner.
