Extreme weather conditions that saw heavy rain, storms and floods hit multiple countries in the Middle East have increased concerns for ocean and air freight stakeholders in the region, Container News reported. Cargo agents and other shipping industry sources in Dubai have reported considerable delays and backlogs, which could take up to a week to clear up and return to normalcy. Furthermore, many ports in the region, including Jebel Ali, have dealt with berthing delays.
