BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Pet insurers in the doghouse

While pet insurance is meant to throw a bone to pet owners saddled with unexpected veterinarian bills, Consumer Reports found that most pet insurance subscribers are not happy.

In the recent survey, more than 2,000 members shared their experience with pet insurance covering everything from what’s covered to the premiums they paid and the claims process for getting reimbursed. Overall, most of the results found that the insurance companies were all middle of the pack when it came to services provided for an average of $47 per month.

Six insurance providers earned a midrange overall satisfaction score and two were thrown into the doghouse with unfavorable ratings.

Consumer Reports says self-insurance is the way to go: put away money every month into a high-yield savings account to tap into for emergencies.
