Top European reinsurers sees earnings more than double

Analysts at Moody's Investors Service Inc. said Europe’s four big reinsurers, Munich Reinsurance Co., Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd., Hannover Rueck SE, and Scor SE, achieved a combined earning of €10.2 billion ($11 billion) in 2023, more than double their earnings in 2022, Reinsurance News reported. The analysts added that despite a high number of natural disasters during the year, the firms managed to decrease their exposure by setting higher coverage limits.
