Cigna Group and Humana Inc. are in advanced talks regarding a potential merger that would create a health insurance giant rivaling industry leaders UnitedHealth Group Inc. and CVS Health Corp., reports Reuters. The proposed stock-and-cash deal, which may be finalized by year-end pending antitrust review, would join Cigna’s large pharmacy benefit unit and commercial insurance business with Humana’s strong Medicare Advantage presence.
